Ive got a domain registered with 123-reg which points to my webspace (zen)
where I host a race website.

If I use frame forwarding, all you see in the address bar is the above URL,
no matter what page you visit.

I would prefer to have my pages with unique URLs so that folk could save
shortcuts to the appropriate page.

I've looked at all the available alternatives to frame forwarding on the
control panel but nothing will do what I want. I rather suspect I'm
misunderstanding what is possible.

How is it done?

Tim

To be honest its probably easier just to spend the =A310 a year to get=20
some proper webspace .

www.liquidsix.com is well worth a look .

The good part though is you keep your domain with 123reg and just change=20
the name servers in the 123reg control panel .

www.jpgimage.co.uk is hosted with liquidsix and the following whois=20
shows you what name servers to use .

www.phpwhois.co.uk/view.php?whois=3D100815&dom=3Dcouk

If your account with Zen allows you can add the domain to your Zen
account as a parked domain and then update the DNS via the Manage DNS
link in your 123 control panel.

This article walks you through the process:

http://www.zensupport.co.uk/KnowledgeBase/article.aspx?id=10434

If you can't do that with your web space then I think the only way is
like Krusty said to have a proper hosting account for the domain and
update the nameservers set in 123 to the hosting provider's nameservers.

I rather suspect it doesn't. At present, I'm using up my free webspace that
I have with my zen 8000 active account but I think it's pretty basic and I
can't see any "cPanel" or anything else that looks recognisable relating to
domain parking.

I think the answer is "more money". ;-) Thanks for the info anyway.

Thanks, it might come to that. If the race makes a profit this year we
might be able to push the boat out and go crazy with a tenner. ;-) Up till
now, I've just been using my free webspace with my Zen 8000 account.

One.com are doing first year free hosting, after that 1000MB is only 90p
month + vat.

Only downside is the machines are in Denmark so you don't show up in UK
searches.

Whilst location of the server is of significance, I wouldn't be inclined to
make the blanket statement - the TLD has significance as well.

I should have said; the only problem I've had with them is the UK searches
*unless you are .co.uk*

None of Geoff's mail script problem.

True - and my apologies: looking at my post, my intended brevity may have
looked more like terseness.
